Becoming a big brother or sister is a really big deal. Some kids can’t wait to meet their new sibling, while others are a bit more timid about the whole experience. Parents often worry about how their child will react to no longer being the baby of the family. But for one mother, she had absolutely nothing to worry about. Her little one couldn’t wait to meet his new sister.

Justyce Shavue’s best friend, Tashara, had just welcomed her new daughter into the world. Her family and friends had pitched in to help the single mom, and all were gathered around to see what her first-born son would think of the new baby.

Luckily, the little man took to being a big brother like a duck takes to water. This mama had nothing to worry about because this little boy couldn’t wait to get his hands on his “sissy”, but in a good way. During Tashara’s pregnancy, the little guy had not been so excited about having a sister. He had repeatedly said he wasn’t ready. But when the big day finally came, he couldn’t contain his excitement.

While sitting beside his mom, the little boy stretches out his arms in anticipation of holding his new sister. He holds her tenderly and announces, “My sissy.”
