If you’ve ever wondered how life works the way it does, this preacher might just have the best description of life that you’ve ever heard. It will also make you laugh at just how accurate it really is.

The preacher explained that on the first day God created the dog. He told it that it would sit all day at the door and bark at anyone who walks past. He told the dog he’d give him a 20 year lifespan.

The dog wasn’t sure this was a good idea and said it was too long to be barking. He asked to just have 10 years and offered to give God the other 10 years back. God agreed.

On the second day, God created a monkey. He told the monkey that he would also live for 20 years and his job would be to do monkey tricks and make people laugh.

The monkey didn’t think this was a good idea either because 20 years was too long to be doing tricks. He offered to give back the other ten like the dog, so God agreed.

On the third day, God created a cow. He told the cow he would give him 60 years to live and that he would go to the field with the farmer, suffer under the sun, have calves, and give milk to the farmer.

The cow thought 60 years was awfully long to have such a tough life. He asked for it to be reduced to 20 years and gave the other 40 years back to God. God agreed.

Finally, on the fourth day, God created man. He told the man he would give him 20 years to live and he had to eat, sleep, play, marry, and enjoy life.

The man, shocked with only getting 20 years, asked to have his 20, the 40 from the cow, 10 from the monkey, and 10 from the dog since they had given those up. God agreed to giving the man 80 years of life.

Now you know why the first 20 years of our life we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves; the next 40 years we slave in the sun to support our family; the next 10 years we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandkids; and the last 10 years we sit on the porch and bark at everyone!

If this gives you a chuckle at how realistic this really is, be sure to share this funny story with your family and friends. We all like a good laugh from time to time.
