If you’ve ever been in a car accident, especially one that you caused, you know there is a moment of panic when you realize what has happened. Your first instinct is to just run away and hide.

But it is against the law to do that and most of us know better than to do such a thing. Sadly, hit and run accidents still happen more often than we’d like to think.

So when one college baseball player realized his car had been hit he couldn’t believe that the person that had done the damage had simply driven away. Luckily, someone had witnessed the entire event. Andrew Sipowicz saw the note on his windshield and it was full of information about the driver that hit his car as well as a drawing of what had happened.

The note was written by a sixth grader from Houghten Academy. The note said that the student had seen the accident happen because they are at that same place every day.

The student left the license plate number, description of the vehicle, and even information about the driver. Andrew couldn’t believe his luck and took to social media to thank the student. He posted to Twitter and said he was grateful for the note left by the student and said it likely saved him thousands of dollars. People that saw the Tweet agreed.

What a great kid this is. Don’t you agree? Be sure to share this heartwarming story with your family and friends. We could all learn a thing or two from this kiddo.
