Singer and songwriter Andy Grammar is known for his positive lyrics and upbeat music, so when he headed to Dallas’ Children’s Health hospital, he was hoping to spread some cheer to the little ones inside.

Instead, however, the multi-platinum artist ended up getting serenaded by a little girl instead. In the video below, Grammar seems genuinely happy to get to experience the little girl singing. He probably never thought he’d find the next pop singer while making his rounds.

The little girl’s name is Kylah, and she has been in the hospital for six months fighting for her life. In spite of this, Andy says he was incredibly inspired by how positive and hopeful the little girl remains. Kylah says that when she gets sad, she just puts on some music and sings because it reminds her to be brave. And singing is exactly what she did for Grammar. When he offered to sing for her, instead, she asked if she could sing for him.

She pulled out her iPad and sang the song “I Believe” by Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled. Grammar says she touched his soul with her voice, especially when she hits the high notes. Grammar encouraged Kylah stating he thinks she’s got the talent to be a singer someday and posted on social media that her voice and spirit are still with him.

He says when he comes back to Dallas to perform, he plans to invite her on stage to sing with him. Now if that isn’t just amazing! Check out the video below of the little soul singer and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
