Christmas is right around the corner, which means a plethora of parties, gatherings and get-togethers among family, friends, work colleagues, and neighbors.
It can be tough to think of fun activities and games to make your Christmas party unique. There’s the ubiquitous white elephant gift exchange or the Dirty Santa game we’re familiar with but there’s a new holiday twist to these games that is sure to be a hit.
This game involves a huge ball of plastic wrap filled with prizes, with the best goodie being hidden in the middle of the ball. This Instagram video will teach you some of the basics.
You’ll need a big role of Saran Wrap for this, because the bigger the ball, the better! As for the prizes, this can be anything from candy to cash. We suggest that you have small candies in the outer part of the ball, with more valuable trinkets the further you get into it.
The best prize of all should be in the middle of the ball. We’d suggest making this grand prize something like a gift card!
Finally, you will need some dice.
To start the game, the person holding the ball starts unwrapping it as the next player rolls the dice. The player keeps rolling the dice until he rolls doubles. Once this happens, they get passed the ball and hand the dice over to the next player. The person who has the ball must unwrap it as they try to get as many prizes as possible, and the person who unwraps the ball last wins the grand prize.
You can add your own twist to the game to make it harder if you want. For example, this family made the game more difficult by making each other wear oven mitts as they tried to unwrap the ball!
