Anyone who has ever lost their wallet or their purse knows how stress-inducing and nerve-wrecking this experience is. We keep things like our driver’s license, health insurance card, credit cards, and other personal valuables in our wallet so when it goes missing, it’s a given for panic to set in.
This is exactly the situation that Shelia Spencer recently found herself in, and she immediately went into panic mode.

Sheila was on her way home after a long day at work when she stopped at her local Piggly Wiggly to pick up some items. It was only when she got home that she realized she had dropped her wallet, which contained $300 in cash, at the store. By the time she realized this, it was already 9:30 and dark, and she assumed that her wallet was gone forever.

However, when Sheila called the store, she was in for a big surprise! The manager informed her that the wallet and all of the money inside it had been turned in by cashier Antoine Starr, a student at Central Park Christian school.

Sheila could not believe that Antoine did not pocket her cash.
“I went to bless Anthony today with $100, and I also called his mom Joyce to tell her what a great job she was doing with her son,” she said. “His mom cried tears of joys. We hear very little about kids when they do something positive; it’s always lots of talk about the bad things that happen.”

Antoine does not see himself as a hero, as he did not think turning the wallet in was “a big deal.”
“I just picked it up and returned it to one of my supervisors,” Antoine said. “I thought about how I would feel if it was my stuff and was stolen from me. I would be devastated. So I thought about her, and I returned it.”
God bless Antoine for doing the right thing here!
