An adorable video is going viral this week that is sure to make the hearts of cat lovers melt.

The video opens with the cat staring at himself in the mirror intensely. He’s puzzled by the reflection that he sees looking back at him, clearly not realizing that it’s him. The cat then starts making a series of movements, testing out if the reflection would do the same thing.

The video has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 566,000 times as people all over the world love watching the curious cat try and figure this out! Some have pointed out how intelligent this cat is compared to others.

“It’s known just about all felines don’t have the mental capacity to recognize themselves in a mirror or even pay attention to one,” one social media user wrote. “But if this really is self recognition you have a much smarter cat and should let have babies.”

“This is truly an interesting cat video,” another added. “While cats are not listed as one of the few animals (other than humans) capable of passing the self-recognition of the ‘mirror test’, this cat COULD be a rare ‘kitty Einstein.'”
