It’s no secret that items have changed over the years. As technology improves, so do the gadgets we use day after day. But there are a few items from the past that you may not even remember at all.

Take the item in the picture above. Do you remember what they are? These coin like objects actually came in a variety of designs, but these were very popular with the sewing crowd.

Just like the needle threaders above, items that some of us remember won’t even be recognized by today’s generation. How many of them know what a rotary phone is? A VHS tape? An floppy disk?

These are just a few of the objects that are now nearly obsolete. Check out the list below to see how many more of these “old” items you remember using or seeing when you were younger.

1. Church Keys – How many kids now would know what a church key was if you handed them one? No, it’s not a key to get in the front door of your church. It is a handy little tool that is used to open bottles and cans, and if you don’t have one in your kitchen, you’d be amazed at how often you might actually use it.

2. Record Adapters – No, this isn’t a weird looking frisbee or a fidget spinner from days gone by. It’s a record adapter. Since we don’t use records much anymore, these adapters are barely recognizable to some people. However, some of us know that they were used to help different sizes of records fit on different turn tables.

3. Sauna Hot Pants – Back in the 70’s fashionable weight loss was a thing, which is why these inflatable pants were all the rage. The idea was that these pants would melt away fat from your stomach and thighs while you did your regular tasks at home. This is one trend we’re glad to not see around any more.

So how many of these things did you use or remember? Share this story with your family and friends and see how many of them could recognize this little used objects.
