When Gavin Hazelwood stayed home from school the day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came to visit his town in Australia, he knew he wanted to have a gift to give Meghan.
So he painted some macaroni gold, placed it on a navy blue ribbon, and presented his gift to Meghan who immediately thanked him for the gift and placed it around her neck.
Of course, Meghan looks stunning in anything she wears, but the macaroni necklace got extra attention. So much attention that Gavin has been getting orders for replicas of the necklace that he gifted to Meghan.
With the help of his parents, the young entrepreneur created a website to sell the replicas in an effort to raise funds for stillborn baby research. Gavin’s own sister was stillborn in 2014, so it is a cause very close to his heart.
He is selling the necklaces for $20 each on his website and has so far received 250 orders. All of the money will go towards research because Gavin says he wants to be like Prince Harry and Meghan and give to charitable causes.
Check out the video below of Gavin giving his gift to Meghan and learn more about his charity, and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
