I don’t think there is a person out there that can honestly say they like cleaning the bathroom. Even if you’re a neat freak, the bathroom is likely still your least favorite spot in the house to clean.
But if you use the right tools and tricks, cleaning the bathroom doesn’t have to be quite that bad. Take your bathtub for example. Instead of slaving over the tub with a shower cleaner and scrub brush, try this handy tip.
Pour dish soap into your tub while it’s dry and scrub it around with a broom. Dish soap is made to be tough on grease and grime and will wipe away everything from mildew and soap scum. Also, dish soap won’t fill your bathroom with fumes or be harsh on your skin.
Once you’re done spreading the soap around in your tub, just turn on the shower head or use a bucket of water to rinse the soap away. Anyone can do this and it’s even easy for those who struggle to get down on their hands and knees to work.
Now that you’ve got your tub clean, it’s time to focus your attention on the sink. For a spotless shine, you don’t need harsh chemicals. Distilled white vinegar is your best bet instead.
Try mixing it with a bit of lemon juice in a spray bottle and it will erase soap stains and hard water marks with ease. Just spray the mixture in your sink and scrub it with a brush. When you’re done, rinse it with water and your sink will look nearly new.
Along with vinegar, you may have other essentials in your pantry that are great for cleaning too. Baking soda will melt hair and gunk to break up a clog in your drain. Borax is perfect for wiping away rust and stains on metal faucets, and toothpaste makes a good spot cleaner because it is slightly gritty.

One of the most aggravating places to clean in the bathroom is the mirror. While there are plenty of products available to clean mirrors, we have an easy three step method using rubbing alcohol, glass cleaner, and a microfiber cloth.
Dab a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad and scrub away any obvious messes like toothpaste stains and finger prints. Next, use the glass cleaner and microfiber cloth.

Lightly spray the glass with the cleaner and then wipe it down with a microfiber cloth. These won’t leave lint behind. Last, look at the mirror from a 45-degree angle. This will reveal any left over streaks that need to be wiped away.
How many of these handy tips have you heard of before? Be sure to share them with your family and friends so they can spend less time cleaning their bathroom next time too.
