An adorable video is going viral this week showing the moment a baby kangaroo took his first steps at a sanctuary.
The video was filmed at the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, in Australia’s Northern Territory, and it features a six month-old joey named Bradley. The heartwarming footage shows Bradley hop towards Chris “Brolga” Barns, the carer he has imprinted on at the sanctuary.

Bradley looks to be a bit shy at first, but he quickly gets used to the camera! The way he leans on Chris makes it clear just how much he loves him.

Chris has years of experience with kangaroos, and he works with joeys who have been rescued after their mothers were killed. Bradley’s mother was killed after being hit by a car, and Chris spent weeks carrying him around in a pouch to simulate what Bradley’s mother would have done.

Chris runs the sanctuary along with his wife, Tahnee Passmore-Barns. He lets Bradley out of his pouch a few times a day so that he can jump around and build up his strength.

The video has quickly gone viral, and people all over the world are falling in love with Bradley!
“What a lovely creature,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “Awwww It’s a very tiny kangaroo It’s soo cute.”
“Thank God my life has youtube,” a third user commented on the video.
We wish Bradley the best of luck in the world as he grows up! Check out the video for yourself below!
