Moving homes can be a very stressful experience. There’s nothing more frustrating than opening one of the boxes you packed, only to find that your plates have cracked and your prized possessions are broken.
Now, however, an Australian woman has shared a packing hack online that is sure to keep your items safe and lower the cost of moving as well! She took to Facebook to say that sealing delicate kitchenware in vacuum bags will stop them rattling around and hitting off each other in transit.

“We are in the process of packing and moving and my partner said ‘what if we put the plates and bowls and other breakables into a vacuum bag so they don’t rattle around?'” she said. “So we experimented and it works!”
She went on to say that she placed paper towels between plates before stacking them in boxes, adding that she used just three vacuum bags for her entire dinnerware set.

The hack has quickly gone viral, with social media users saying that it’s an amazing strategy!
“This is actually genius! Why couldn’t someone have thought of this when I moved 10 times in nine years,” one user wrote, with another adding, “A tip I use is to pack breakables with your towels and sheets – they act as padding and save on bubble wrap as well!”
If you’re planning on moving anytime soon, you should definitely try out this hack for yourself! SHARE this story so that your friends and family can see this as well!
