Earlier this week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are expecting their first child. Days later, something happened on camera that shows just what great parents they will be!
Harry and Meghan are currently on a tour of Australia and New Zealand. While touring the Australian city of Dubbo, the couple got an unexpectedly warm welcome from a 5 year-old boy.
When they arrived in Dubbo, the royal couple were greeted by 150 students from nine different schools in the area. Though Harry and Meghan met many local politicians and celebrities, one little boy stood out from everyone else.
Luke Vincent, 5, is a student at Buninyong Public School who was one of the last children to meet Harry and Meghan. As soon as Harry walked over to him, Luke was completely transfixed by him! The little boy proceeded to wrap his arms around the royal’s neck and give him a huge hug!

Luke then pulled away and started to play with Harry’s beard, clearly not intimidated by his royal status at all! When he was introduced to Meghan, he gave her some flowers and gave her a nice hug, but then he went right back to Harry. He gave Harry another hug and a kiss on the cheek!

“He got a hug from Meghan and then Harry bent down to speak to him and Luke didn’t give him any choice,” said Anne Van Darrel, the school’s principal. “Luke’s favorite person in the world is Santa Claus, who has a beard. So he rubbed Harry’s beard.”
Though this was a violation of royal protocol, Harry and Meghan were clearly touched by what Luke did! There is no doubt that these two are going to be wonderful parents!
