This week, Americans everywhere have been praying for the safe return of Chipper, a ten-week-old French mastiff puppy who was dognapped a few days ago in Mesquite, Texas. Now, our prayers have finally been answered!
Matt Ivy, Chipper’s owner, took to Facebook on Wednesday night to announced that the puppy had been returned!
“On my way to hopefully pick up Chipper!!!! Standby for confirmation,” Matt wrote, later adding, “CHIPPER IS BACK HOME!!!!!! (gotta go back to firehouse and finish my shift, will give details of what happened when I can, probably tomorrow).”
“AGAIN I CAN NOT THANK EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR COMPASSION, PRAYERS, SUPPORT, SHARES, AND HAVING MY BACK WITH THE SILLY TROLLS AND HATERS!!!” he continued.

It has not yet been revealed who returned Chipper, and no arrests have been made.
This came after horrifying video footage went viral showing two men steal Chipper from Matt’s yard at around 2pm last Saturday. The footage shows a black Cadillac SUV pulling up before one of them gets out and approaches the wire fence around Matt’s property. On the other side of the fence, two adult French mastiffs and a puppy were walking around.

The man roughly grabbed the puppy by the scruff, causing the animal to yelp in pain. Tucking the puppy under his arm, he heads back to the SUV and they speed away.
Matt has been breeding French Mastiff dogs for sale at his Mesquite home for the past 15 years, and he was desperate to get Chipper back. We’re glad this story had a happy ending, and we hope those responsible for his dognapping get caught soon!
