An amazing video featuring 50 moms and their 50 children with down’s syndrome has gone viral and is being called one of the most beautiful karaoke videos of all time. The video, done to the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry has had over 100,000 views on YouTube and over one million views on Facebook since its release less than one week ago.

The video was made to celebrate World Down’s Syndrome Day on March 21, and has far exceeded the mothers’ expectations by being shared around the world by thousands of viewers. It’s even been shared by celebrities such as James Corden.

Rebecca Carless, a 35-year-old mother of three children was one of the moms in the video. Her four-year-old son, Archie, has down’s syndrome. Her and dozens of mother moms that are part of the Facebook group Designer Genes came up with the idea of the video. The group is made up of moms with children born with down’s syndrome in 2013 and 2014.

The segments of the video were recorded separately from all different areas of the country and put together by one of the fathers in the group, Jamie McCallum. The clips are based on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke style. Christina Perry also gave the group permission to use her song, which the group signs along to as they sing.

Rebecca says they just wanted the people who watch the video to realize that they’re all normal moms who love our kids. She says the kids love their moms too, and as parents, they wouldn’t want to change their kids even if they could.

She says the video has turned out much better than what they had hoped for and her son Archie loves it. She says he spotted himself almost immediately when watching it and grabbed her hand to do the swaying bit she does in the video.

What an amazing celebration of unconditional love and family! SHARE this uplifting video with your loved ones!
