Meghan Markle’s half sister Samantha Markle has spent the past few months relentlessly bashing the new royal. This past week, she decided to change her tune and fly to the United Kingdom in the hopes of meeting with Meghan face to face.
Unfortunately for Samantha, however, things did not quite go the way she’d hoped.
When Samantha arrived at Kensington Palace, where Meghan lives with her husband Prince Harry, she was immediately denied entry by guards. After repeatedly being denied entry, Samantha handed a guard a letter that she wants delivered to Meghan.

“The ongoing feud between Meghan, her sister and her father has so far been played out in public interviews and communication across the Atlantic via aides and representatives,” a source said. “This was a huge move on the part of Meghan’s sister to try to see her face to face and the fact she was turned away speaks volumes. This is the closest Meghan has come physically to that side of her family since she married into the royal family but palace staff had clearly been instructed not to allow her access.”
Samantha should not have been surprised by this at all, given the amount of times she has tried to publicly humiliate Meghan this year. Many believe that Samantha is far more interested in getting fame for herself than she is in actually forming a relationship with Meghan. Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, however, Samantha tried to apologize to Meghan during an interview.
“I’m hoping that we can have a happy ending,” Samantha said. “(My father) was being purposely ignored. We were hoping that private channels would be used. When they failed we went public. The goal at that point wasn’t just getting closer. It was also about bringing out a very important point that you don’t isolate family, you are a humanitarian.”
At this point, if Samantha really wants to reconcile with Meghan, the best thing she could do is stop talking to the press altogether.
