A first grade teacher from Mexico is being praised by internet users all over the world after she was captured on camera strapping a special needs student who has trouble walking to her body so that he could dance with his classmates.

The video was captured last Friday at the Gabriela Mistral Federal Elementary School in the pacific state of Sinaloa. The teacher, identified only as Melissa, wanted to make sure the little boy did not miss out on the folk dance the rest of his class was performing.

The teacher fastened the student’s legs to her own with straps and fixed his upper body to her waist. The two then danced away with the boy’s classmates!

The video has gone mega-viral, being viewed by over 38 million people all over the world.

“Life is beautiful because of these kinds of people. Love and respect. World is having hope,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “What an exceptional lady.”

“Emotional moment! Love this teacher,” added another.

This video serves as a reminder of just how devoted to their students teachers can be. Unfortunately, teachers in most places are grossly underpaid, so they make many sacrifices in their life. They are smart people who give up the chance to take up careers that could make them more money because they are passionate about helping children learn. This teacher really is a special woman, and we need more people like her in the world!
