Over the past few months, Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle has become a major thorn in her side, as she has been giving numerous interviews in which she humiliates the Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family. That’s why British people are furious that Samantha has just landed in London in the hopes of meeting with Meghan face-to-face.

Samantha claims that though she is in the United Kingdom to try and make personal contact with Meghan, she wants them to “hopefully move forward with peaceful resolve.” Many are skeptical that these are her true intentions, however, given how many times she has ranted against Meghan and the other royals over the past few months.

Samantha appeared on Jeremy Vine’s British television show earlier this week, and viewers were given the chance to call in to ask her questions. This ended up blowing up in her face when viewers instead simply called in to bash her and tell her to leave Meghan alone.

“All we’ve seen is the hate you’ve spewed against your sister,” said one caller. “If you actually love your sister I think this should have been done in private, not on social media, or going on television saying you’re sorry… what you’re doing is not right.”

“Most of what you read in the tabloids is not true… There have been so many times I’ve said, in live interviews, favourable things but they were not printed,” Samantha replied, ignoring the fact that many of her rants came from her own social media accounts.

Another viewer said that Samantha should have been “stopped at border control,” adding, “She’s got no relevance to be here.”

While it’s unfortunate that Meghan and Samantha are estranged, we can certainly see why the duchess wants to stay away from her older sister. Samantha has shown over the past few months that she has no regard for Meghan, and that she instead just wants to secure fame and fortune for herself. If Samantha really wants a relationship with Meghan as she claims, perhaps she should stop talking to the press!
