Deb and Chuck Beldo are farmers from Minnesota who have years of experience raising livestock, so when one of their cows got pregnant, they didn’t think much of it. It was only when their cow finally gave birth that they realized that this was no ordinary pregnancy!

The Beldo family has been caring for this piece of land for generations dating all the way back to 1882. Chuck and Deb love carrying on their family’s tradition, so they were overjoyed when the cow they affectionately call Momma Moo became pregnant. However, their daughter Jamie said that it was only when Momma Moo was about to give birth that they noticed she was a whole lot bigger than pregnant cows they had dealt with in the past.
“Mom had noticed she was large but didn’t think too much of it. Twins are fairly common,” she said. “Actually, they had a set of twins born earlier this year, but unfortunately, they came during the crazy cold weather we had in April and they didn’t make it.”
When Momma Moo started to push, the Beldo family was in for a huge surprise when they saw how many cows popped out!

They were absolutely floored when not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR calves came into the world! Momma Moo had given birth to quadruplets, which is incredibly rare for cows!
The Beldos feared that not all of the calves would make it through the night, but each of the babies beat the odds and survived! Even the youngest members of the Beldo family have stepped in to help Momma Moo care for her little ones.
