Muin Bachonaev is an 11 year-old boy from Moscow, Russia who has become famous around the globe for his extremely long eyelashes.

When Muin was born, his eyelashes touched his lips, and they are now 1.7 inches long.

Though they make him look different, Muin is not insecure at all about his long lashes.

“‘I live like anybody. There is no need to take special care of my eyelashes,” he said. “I’m comfortable with them and do not have any difficulties.”

Though Muin is already in the Russian Book of Records for having the longest lashes in the country, he has bigger goals for himself. He loves playing soccer and hopes to one day become a professional soccer player.

“When Muin goes out into the street everybody pays attention to him. He is okay with it,” his father said. “We showed him to different doctors and were told that he was okay and healthy. They said that the gene responsible for his eyelash growth worked differently from usual.”

Doctors say that this gene could be affected by the drugs a woman takes during pregnancy.
