As a teacher you have to put up with a lot of silly things that the students come up with, and that isn’t always an easy thing to do. However, it can make for an interesting day and sometimes even brings a smile to your face.
So when this teacher asked a simple question, she became increasingly frustrated with her student for giving her the wrong answer over and over again. He was confident that he was right and she was determined that he was wrong.
She said, “If I gave you two cats and another two cats and then another two, how many would you have?” The student replied, “Seven!”

“No,” she replied. “Listen carefully. If I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two cats, how many would you have?” “Seven,” the student replied again.
Rubbing her temples in frustration she takes a deep breath and says, “Let me put this differently. If I gave you two apples, and another two apples, and another two, how many would you have?” The student replies, “Six.”

“Good,” said the teacher. “Now if I gave you two cats and another two cats and then another two, how many cats would you have?” The student again replies, “Seven.”
Finally reaching her limit the teacher looks at the student and says, “Where in the heck do you get seven from?!” The student giggles and says, “I’ve already got a freaking cat!”
