Being the new kid at a school can be really hard for any kid, but thankfully for one little girl, she made friends with a little boy who will never let her feel alone.

Bailey lived in El Paso, Texas, and had just moved to a new school. She was having trouble making friends even though she was super friendly to the girls in her class. She had, however, become friends with one little boy named Evan.

Evan and Bailey became best friends. So close, in fact, that one day when she was having a particularly bad day, Evan had something in store for her that he knew would cheer her up.

Bailey called Evan and told him that she had been bullied by some girls at school. Evan talked to her on the phone and gave her some encouraging words, then he asked his mom, Ruby Jimenez, to drive him over to her house.

When he arrived at his friend’s house, he turned up the music in his mom’s car and serenaded Bailey by singing along to the Bruno Mars son, “Count On Me.”
