It was a hot summer day and a man named Aaron had been cleaning up his yard. He was just finishing up mowing and was ready to go inside and get something cold to drink. That’s when he heard a soft, terrified cry.

He stopped what he was doing and stood quietly hoping to hear the noise again, but he heard nothing. He began to walk inside, but something told him to go searching for the sound.

He walked down the alley, not even certain what he had heard. As he walked by a trash can, he heard something rustling inside. He looked down at the can and feared what he would find if he raised the lid.

Inside the trash can was a burning hot and very sick puppy. Aaron couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He reached inside and picked up the puppy and immediately called for help.

The puppy was taken to a local animal shelter where it was given food and IV fluids. Staffers feared that the puppy was so weak and hot that he wouldn’t make it through the night.

The next morning though, they were shocked with what they saw. The puppy was up and full of energy and made his way around the shelter passing out puppy kisses full of thankfulness. The shelter named him Aaron and will soon be putting him up for adoption.
