Parents of children with disabilities often worry about how other people will treat their kids. That’s why Pat Long practiced with his son Owen over and over again before he sent him into the New York restaurant Sun Cuisines to ask for a takeout menu.

Owen has autism, and he prefers to get comfortable with where he is about to eat by studying the menu in-depthly before he dines there.

After Owen practiced with his dad for awhile, he finally felt comfortable enough to head into the restaurant and ask an employee for a menu. Pat had told Owen to come back to the car right away so that they could pick something to order. When Owen did not return right away after entering the restaurant, Pat started to get worried. When he finally entered the restaurant himself to see what was going on, Pat was stunned by what he saw.

After Owen asked restaurant co-owner Aye Thein for a menu, she ended up giving him a whole lot more than that. What she did was so powerful that it caused Owen’s mother Sandra to burst into tears! She took to social media to reveal what Aye Thein did for Owen, and the post quickly went viral, touching the hearts of people all over the world.

We need more people like Thein in the world! This just goes to show how powerful one small act of kindness can be.

Find out what exactly Aye Thein did for Owen in the video below!
