A North Carolina UPS driver’s “sorry I missed you” note is going viral this week due to the fact that the unusual reason that the box could not be delivered.

The note states that the reason that the driver could not deliver the package was a “bear in driveway.” Marcy Lanier posted the letter to Facebook after the driver left it in her Asheville mailbox.

“Bear in driveway,” the blunt note reads.

Marcy explained that her mailbox is out on the road instead of being right at her front door.

“On the street. We get bears all the time,” she said. “So there was a bear in the driveway, so he couldn’t drop it off on my front porch. He normally drops my packages on my front porch. So that’s how it happened. He could stay safe in his truck, on the road.”

Asheville residents would have to agree that they also see bears out and about all the time.

This mail carrier definitely had a legitimate excuse to postpone delivery! SHARE this story so that your friends and family can see this as well!
