Miranda and her family moved into a new home earlier this month, and as soon as they walked in, they discovered a surprising note left by the previous owners.
In the note, the previous owners asked the family if they could take care of a feral cat who’s been living in the backyard for the past decade.

“We immediately looked out the back sliding glass door and he was looking at us through the door,” Miranda explained.

It didn’t take long for the family to fall in love with their backyard tenant!
“We started laughing because we currently have five cats, all but one have been rescued,” Miranda said. “The house we lived in previously, people used to drop off their cats there and we took them in.”
The cat has learned to trust the family over the past few weeks as they have continued feeding him.
“He used to hide anytime we came to the door. Now we can sit outside with him,” she said. “He will come up and eat now when the screen door is open, which he wouldn’t do before.”

Miranda is hoping that the cat will someday become comfortable enough with the family to come live with them. He really hit the jackpot with this family!
Good for the previous owners for taking action to ensure their feral cat friend would be taken care of by the new owners of their home! SHARE this story so that your friends and family can see this as well!
