Paige and Daniel Zezulka are a couple from Athens, Georgia who have always wanted to be parents. For the past three years, they have been foster parents to three children who each dreamed of one day having a forever family.
Though each of the children were under the age of 10, they had all been through a lot in life. The oldest, Ivey, has always considered Paige and Daniel to be her mom and dad, and she prayed for years that they would officially adopt her.

Adoption is a very slow process, so it was difficult for Paige and Daniel to officially adopt Ivey. Thankfully, last week, Paige and Daniel finally got the news that they had been waiting for, and they decided to surprise Ivey with it on her birthday!
After Ivey had opened her birthday gifts, Paige and Daniel told her that they had “one more present” for her, and they gave her a small box. The little girl was about to learn that the best things come in small packages!

When Ivey opened the box, she immediately started crying as she read the plaque inside the box.
“I’m going to be adopted?!” she said with elation.

“We love you, sweetheart. We’ll always be your parents,” Daniel whispered to the little girl.
Paige shared the unforgettable moment on Facebook, and it immediately went viral.
“This will be my favourite video I ever share. This was the day we told our daughter that we were going to be able to adopt her (and her brother and sister)!” Paige wrote.

“She had been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen! God’s timing was perfect!” Paige continued. “Our kids spent 1,128 days in foster care, over 3 years. It is so hard for children to live in such uncertainty. Adoption is amazing and we want others to know that adopting older children and sibling groups can be the most beautiful adventure you could ever have!”
God bless this amazing little family! Check out the emotional video below!
