Two friends, Mike and Joe, have been friends for decades. When it is clear that Joe is dying, Mike visits him and tells him that when he dies and goes to heaven, he wants Joe to let him know somehow that there is football in heaven.

You see, the two have both loved football their entire lives and played together for years. So Joe says he will tell Mike, if there is anyway possible, that there is football in heaven when he gets there.

Not long after Joe passes away and two days later, Mike is awakened by a flash of light and a voice calling out his name. Mike sits up in bed and asks, “Who is it?”

Much to his surprise it is Joe, but Mike doesn’t believe it. Mike finally asks, “Joe, where are you?” To which Joe replies, “In heaven. I have some really good news and some really bad news.”

Mike looks at him and asks for the good news first. Joe replies,” The good news is that there is football in heaven, and all of our old friends who died before us are here too. We’re all young again and it is always spring so we can play football whenever we want and never get tired.”

Hearing this, Mike is pretty excited. So he asks, “What is the bad news?” Joe quickly replies, “You’re on the team for this Saturday’s match!”
