Elephants are known for being some of the most intelligent and loving animals in the world. They are so smart that they feel many of the same emotions that humans do, and they feel a strong sense of love and loyalty for those who take care of them.

Now, a video has surfaced of an elephant in Thailand that shows just how smart and caring these creatures really are!

Thongrsi is a 17 year-old elephant who lives at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai. A caretaker and his friend decided to set up a little trick on Thongrsi to see how loyal she really is, and she does not disappoint them!

The video opens with the friend pretending to attack the caretaker, shoving him to the ground. As soon as Thongrsi sees the caretaker go down, she immediately rushes in to save him! She rushed towards the two men and scared away the person she thought was attacking her caretaker, and she didn’t stop there!

Still worried that the supposed perpetrator would return, Thongrsi protectively circled around the caretaker to make sure that he was alright.

This video serves as proof of just how emotionally intelligent elephants really are! Since they are so loyal to us humans, it’s our job as people to return this love by protecting elephants as much as we can from those who want to harm them. This protection is the least that elephants deserve!
