We’re taught as children to be polite and to always say thank you to someone who is good to us. As it turns out, it isn’t just humans who like to say thank you when someone has done something nice for them.

A woman named Orawan Kaewla-iat has been feeding the stray dogs near her home in Thailand for several years. One of those pups consistently has a special way to show his appreciation for her.

When Orawan puts the bowls of rice out for the hungry dogs, one dog she named Tua Plu and his mom began to show up with the hungry dogs. But before Tua Plu would eat, he always brought a present for Orawan.

“When he’s hungry, he will offer something to get fed,” Orawan posted on Facebook. “Every day he shows up with an object in his mouth, usually a leaf and sometimes a piece of paper. Before you feed other dogs, you have to feed Tua Plu and his mom.”

Orawan shared a video of Tua Plu’s gesture on social media, and in the video you can see him carry a leaf down some stairs and place it beside his bowl of rice.

The video went viral and people have contacted Orawan about adopting the pup. It looks like Tua Plu may soon have a wonderful home of his own where he can shower his new owner with gifts.
