There’s nothing quite like the love a father has for his daughter. Now, a video is going viral that shows this paternal love in a beautiful way.

It all started after little Riley Sylvaria was diagnosed with alopecia, and she lamented to her parents that she did not feel beautiful without hair. Hearing this, her father immediately jumped to action.

“I don’t love myself because I don’t have hair,” Riley’s mother Chelsea recalls her saying.

“You want daddy to shave his head?” her father Dave asked his daughter, causing her to reply with a nod. “Want me to do it right now? Okay, let’s go.”

Wasting no time, father and daughter headed to the bathroom, where Dave proceeded to have Riley shave his head!

“I’ll keep it just like this. You know why? Because it’s just hair, kiddo. It doesn’t matter,” Dave can be heard saying in the video. “All gone! We’ll get it nice and short just like Riley’s! Nice and bald!”

Chelsea praised her husband for what he did in a Facebook post that has since gone viral, writing that he made her “heart just melt.”

“Riley is currently over being upset about having no hair, minor bump in the road of life,” Chelsea wrote.

“We want her to know it’s ok to sometimes get upset, but that she is strong and beautiful — no matter what!” the proud mother later added.
