During her wedding to Prince Harry in May, Meghan Markle only invited one member of her family to her ceremony. That person happened to be her mother, Doria Ragland, with whom she is very close.
New reports indicate that the mother and daughter are so close that Doria is planning to move to London next month, just so that she can be closer to Meghan! This will likely be a huge comfort to Meghan, as she is now living in a foreign country with no family or old friends nearby.
Sources say that Doria is “beside herself with excitement” about the move. She has reportedly already quit her job in Los Angeles, and is hoping to make the move before her 62nd birthday next month.
“She is getting ready to move to London… I know that she was eager to live closer to her daughter,” a friend of Doria’s said.
Rumors have been swirling that Harry and Meghan want to have children as soon as possible, so the possibility of being near her future grandchildren may also be a factor in Doria’s decision.
While Meghan has had a very difficult time dealing with her father Thomas Markle constantly betraying her by talking to the press, Doria has remained completely loyal to her daughter and has been very tight-lipped. We’re sure that having Doria close to her will be a great comfort for Meghan!
