When it comes to the Queen’s Guard, wise tourists know not to mess with them. But recent video footage recently shows a visitor to the castle getting shoved by a Guardsman.

According to an army source, the incident was a set up. When you view the ten-second clip below, you will see a stoic male guard wearing the traditional guard attire. A female tourist is standing inside of the roped area where she isn’t supposed to be.

She appears to be posing for a photo, then suddenly without flinching, the guard shoves the unsuspecting woman out of his way because she was standing directly in his path.

The woman cries out in shock and the soldier continues on his path. Although the scene may seem harsh, another person says the tourist had set up the scene in order to provoke the soldier to create footage that could be shared on social media.

Earlier in the day, the woman had been unsuccessfully attempting to grab the soldier’s arm, rifle, and hat, and had been repeatedly asked to stop. The rope seen in the footage is not a permanent fixture, but was set up by the soldier’s superior after he complained about the woman’s odd actions.

“The fact that she just stood there inside the rope like she didn’t know he was behind her is ridiculous. It appears to be a set up to make a little video,” said one viewer.

The Ministry of Defense offered the following statement in regard to the video, “The Household Division is proud to guard Her Majesty and honored that people come from around the world to watch our ceremonial spectacle. The ropes are there to protect both the public and our soldiers. Please stay behind them.”

The members of the Queen’s Guard have been protecting British monarchs for centuries, ever since Charles II ascended the throne in 1660.

Check out the video below and see if you think it was a set up. It sure looks like it to me! Share this video with your family and friends to see what they think too.
