Heidi Zherelyev and her fiancé Valentin were soon to be married. She could tell that her groom was all nerves and knew that she wanted to do something to help calm him.

She came up with a one of a kind idea that involved her brother. He dressed up in a friend’s old wedding dress and snuck up on him for one hilarious surprise.

“I hear these gentle footsteps behind me,” said Valentin. “I feel the most gentle touch on my shoulder, and I look back thinking I’m going to see Heidi, so pretty and beautiful, and I look back and it’s Eric.”

He said it was such a funny sight that he nearly lost his mind. All of his emotions started flowing out and he became totally calm. “It was just the best equalizer for the situation,” he said.

The photos were taken by Nichole Cline of KevinChole Photography and have received thousands of shares and likes on social media. The best part of the situation, Heidi says, is that it worked. “Valentin was instantly more comfortable,” said Heidi.
