Every parent knows how difficult raising children can be, which is why mothers and fathers everywhere are always looking for hacks to make life a bit easier.

Abigail Rivera Garcia is a 23 year-old mother from Massachusetts, and she just came up with a very smart way to keep her newborn calm and give herself a break!

As the mother of both a 16 month-old and a 2 month-old, Abigail always has her hands full. Making things even more difficult is the fact that Abigail’s 2-month-old Ananyah has colic and reflux, which leaves her cranky much of the time.

“It got to the point where I couldn’t put her down for more than 10 minutes without her crying,” Abigail wrote on social media. That’s why she was glad when she came across a new hack that changed everything! All you have to do to carry out this hack is take a glove and pack it full of rice.

Once Abigail had done this, she put her baby down on her stomach and placed the rice filled glove on her back. The pressure from the glove makes the baby feel as if her mother is touching her back.

“Of course, everyone has their own opinion on this hack. Some like it and some don’t but every mother knows their child. My daughter loves it and is doing just fine. I had to post it because I know how hard it is to not have a break and if I can help a mom out, I definitely will!” Abigail said.

After getting some flack for this hack, Abigail added a disclaimer.

“Note: My baby never sleeps with all the blankets around her or near this window; she has a crib for that. This was just a quick picture and she was being monitored the whole time,” she explained.

Many other mothers have since commented that this hack works for them.

“My baby loved this when she was in NICU and so did the nurses,” one mom wrote on social media.
