Adeboye Taiwo and his wife Ajibola spent 17 years trying to conceive a child. They had spent more than $213,000 on fertility treatments and still were unable to conceive. The people in the Western Nigerian town where they live even told Adeboye that he should divorce is wife and find someone that could give him children.
“I made it known to them that I love my wife so deeply,” he said. “I assured them that my wife would surely give birth to a baby for me at God’s own time and in His season.” That faith eventually paid off, and in a very big way.
Adeboye and Ajibola found out that they were expecting, and now Adeboye is the father of six beautiful babies…three boys and three girls. Ajibola was just 30 weeks pregnant when the babies were born at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Virginia.

The team of 40 people worked to deliver the babies by c-section, an event that they had prepared for in advance. They had conducted drills and resuscitation exercises to be sure they were ready for the babies arrival.
Sextuplet births are very rare, and they were one of only 24 sextuplets for in 2015. The babies weighed between one pound and two pounds and 15 ounces each, but thankfully, all of them are doing very well. The happy parents credit the medical staff with the health of their babies.

Ronald Ramus, M.D. says it was a team effort to get through such an extraordinary journey with the family. “It’s not every day that parents bring home sextuplets,” he says. He says the encouragement and support they gave Ajibola was to help her make it as far as she did.
What an amazing story of faith! This couple is proof that you should never give up. Be sure to share this beautiful story with your family and friends.
