Miley is a Dalmatian who lives in Ballarat, Australia, and her owners were ecstatic when she became pregnant. Their veterinarian told them that Miley was going to deliver three puppies, so imagine their surprise when she gave birth to 18 little ones. That’s six times what the veterinarian predicted!

Cecilia Langton-Bunkergot, Miley’s owner, suspected that her dog and the canine’s beau Ashton were expecting more babies than the veterinarian predicted, given the fact that the Dalmatian’s belly had grown so large. However, even Cecilia never could have imagined that she would have this many!
Despite Cecilia’s suspicions, the veterinarian swore up and down that scans of Miley’s belly only showed three babies. It’s safe to say that he either needs a new scanner or some new glasses, because there turned out to be a whole lot more babies in there than that!

Miley was in labor for 13 hours as she successfully delivered 12 girls and 6 boys. Thankfully, all of the puppies are happy and healthy! Miley can’t handle nursing 18 puppies all on her own, so Cecilia and her husband have been helping the Dalmatian around the clock by providing the puppies with milk.
Each puppy’s neck collar is a different color so Cecilia can identify them.

The 18 puppies have set an Australian record and tied the world record for the most Dalmatians born in one litter.
