Arron Walshaw might just be one of the luckiest men in England. He says he almost missed the deadline for Wednesday’s drawing, but thanks to a fellow shopper, he was able to buy his winning lottery ticket at the last minute.
Walshaw, 32-years-old, of Ossett, West Yorkshire, England, says he almost missed Wednesday’s deadline for the Lotto Raffle drawing, but was able to buy the ticket at the last minute when another shopper let him cut in line.
“We had a free lucky dip ticket from the previous draw to use and I knew it was only minutes until the draw closed,” said Walshaw. He popped into a nearby shop where he and another woman approached the same cashier.

“She must have seen that I was in a rush because she insisted I went before her,” he said. “What a stroke of luck that turned out to be.”
Walshaw says his $1.3 million lottery win will allow he and his fiancee, Ceri Hall, 23, to plan their dream wedding. He says if it wasn’t for the woman who let him ahead of her in line he probably wouldn’t have made his purchase by the deadline.

“We would love to meet her again and say thank you for changing our lives,” said Walshaw.
What an amazing stroke of luck! Be sure to share this story with your family and friends.
