When Michelle Fanara watched actress Meghan Markle marry Prince Harry in a televised ceremony, she couldn’t believe her former high school classmate had found a real-life prince. She also had a flashback to a much darker time.

Michelle says she was picked on and her high school years are full of painful memories, cruel comments, and unthinkable harassment. When her great-aunt passed away, it devastated her. That’s when she began pulling away from school activities and the few friends she had. She was sinking into an awful depression that no one noticed.

That is, except for Meghan. She noticed that Michelle was struggling and wrote a heartfelt letter to her hoping to help her through that difficult time. Michelle was shocked that someone outside her circle of friends would pay attention to her and it meant the world to the struggling teen.

When it was time to exchange yearbooks, Meghan wrote her another note that said, “I am here if you ever need me. I love you, Meghan.” Seeing Meghan on television reminded Michelle of the letter that she had tucked into her high school yearbook. Both of the messages written by Meghan meant more to Michelle than she could have imagined.

Michelle says it’s no surprise that Meghan is a world humanitarian now. She says when she wanted to retreat and give up it was Meghan who pulled her out and told her that she couldn’t do that because she was here for a reason.

Check out the video below where Michelle recalls what an amazing heart Meghan had before she ever became famous. It just goes to show that she’s always been a beautiful, kind soul. Be sure to share this heartwarming story and video with your family and friends too.
