When people drove past Jalen Manns’ house they couldn’t imagine why there were numerous police cars lining the street outside his home. A closer look revealed something they never expected. One of the officers was on the ground next to him and kneeling in prayer.
Jalen, just 9-years-old, was diagnosed with a brain tumor and would be undergoing surgery that very same day. Jalen was understandably nervous with the operation looming over him, and several officers stopped by early that morning to be with him before he left for the hospital.
When the Warner Robins, Georgia, police department learned that Jalen loved German Shepherds and he would be facing surgery, they knew they had to take action. With their K9 officers in tow, the officers gathered in support of the little boy.

Jalen frolicked with the dogs that he loved so much, and then they all knelt down in prayer. With one officer placing a hand on Jalen and holding his K9 with the other hand, he began to pray. “Lord, heavenly father, we just come to you now, Lord God, asking for your words of encouragement and strength today.”
The officers also gifted Jalen and his mother with an official police escort to the hospital. They then walked him into his room to wish him well. Watch the amazing video below of Jalen’s story and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
