When Mike Kesterman, of Greendale, Indiana, saw a convoy of soldiers arriving at a gas station, he immediately knew what he wanted to do. He went into the gas station, and one by one, he thanked them for their service in a very special way.

A hidden camera caught Kesterman’s good deed. With his wallet open and a smile on his face, Kesterman told every member of the convoy that their snack would be paid for as he shook their hand and thanked them for their service.

Kesterman had no idea the camera was recording his every move, nor did he care. He says he just did it to bless the lives of the soldiers. “Our young soldiers put their lives on the line every day they are doing this,” said Kesterman. “We have to show appreciation for what they are doing.”

One of the cashiers at the gas station, Darlene Davis, kept her eye on the good deed as it unfolded. She said he greeted each soldier with a smile and then told them, “It’s all about you today.” She shared the video of his good deed because she wanted to honor him and highlight his goodness.

At the end of the day, Kesterman says he spent about $148 on about 25 soldiers. Each one received a free lunch or snacks from the generous Indiana man who says compared to their service, what are a few snacks?

Check out the kind deed as it unfolded in the video below. It looks like we could all learn a lesson from this gentleman. Be sure to share it with your family and friends too.
