Teenager Joy Hundorf is one of those people who always has a smile on her face regardless of what life throws at her. Though she has dealt with a lot of difficult things in her life, Joy has remained positive through it all.

Joy is currently employed at the restaurant Stumpy’s as a waitress, and she is loved by both customers and her fellow workers there.

Joy spent much of her life watching her parents suffer from serious medical conditions that eventually cost them both their lives. This would break many teenagers, but not Joy, who has remained strong through the process of becoming an orphan. She now lives with her guardians Pat and Judy, who give her all the love that she deserves. Judy and Joy even work together as waitresses at Stumpy’s!

Joy was on Instagram one day when she came upon a contest being put on by Dr. Grant Collins of Collins Orthodontics for free braces. She decided to enter herself after hearing that this dentist’s mission is “to serve others.” Collins and his fellow organizers were taken with Joy as soon as they saw her entry, and they knew she was their winner!

Collins and his coworkers decided to go into Stumpy’s undercover to surprise Joy with an amazing “tip” that she definitely never saw coming! It’s so nice to see a happy young girl who has been through so many hardships get such an awesome surprise!
