Many of us know that senior citizens can have incredible senses of humor. Their numerous years of life experience can give them a very funny perspective on life, and it’s always fun when they share this with the world.

Ellen DeGeneres called an 88 year-old woman who is living proof of how funny senior citizens can be!

Though this clip is not recent, Ellen has always said that it is one of her favorite moments from her show of all time. When you see it, you’ll immediately understand why Ellen feels this way about it!

It all started when Ellen learned that 88 year-old Gladys Hardy is a huge fan of her talk show. Ellen decided to call the woman on live television, and what happened next is downright hilarious! Gladys’ sassy attitude and quick comebacks left even a seasoned comedian like Ellen in hysterics.

Gladys quickly shows that she has a larger than life personality and a hilarious sense of humor. The entire audience bursts into laughter when Gladys confesses to Ellen, “Listen, I’ll be honest with you. I love Jesus but I drink a little.” By the end of their conversation, Ellen has tears in her eyes from laughing so hard! It’s easy to see why this moment is one of Ellen’s favorites from her talk show.
