Employees of a drive through coffee stand recently stopped work to pray with a grieving woman who had just lost her husband.
The employees were working their normal shift at Dutch Bros. Coffee in Vancouver, Washington when they noticed that one customer seemed to be very distraught as she sat in her car waiting for her coffee. Worker Pierce Dunn, 19, asked the woman what was wrong, and she informed him that her 37 year-old husband had passed away the night before.
As soon as Pierce heard this, he knew he had to do something.
Pierce and his two fellow employees immediately leaned out the window of the coffee stand, grabbed her hand, and prayed with her.
“We just love people,” Pierce said. “Anytime we see someone sad or mournful, it takes five minutes to make their week, make their life. It’s a small price to pay.”

Barbara Danner was in line when she noticed the prayer, and she whipped out her phone to snap a photo of what was going down. After she posted the image to Facebook, it immediately went viral.
Evan Freeman, 21, is another employee of the coffee stand who joined in the prayer despite the fact that he is not religious.
“She could have said she wanted an apple, and I would have gone and planted a tree and grown her an apple,” Evan said.
Though the employees spent around ten minutes praying with the woman, Pierce said the other customers waiting in line did not seem to mind at all. This serves as a reminder of how powerful prayer can really be!
