One of the Beverly Hills mansions that Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor lived in has just been placed on the market for the first time in 21 years.

Coldwell Banker Global Luxury has just announced that the mansion has been placed on the market for $15.9 million. The home, which is gated and nestled up in the hills, includes a large swimming pool and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Taylor lived in the mansion in the 1950s during the time that she was married to British film star Michael Wilding. The two were married for five years before divorcing in 1957.

Taylor and Wilding bought the home as their private Los Angeles retreat in 1954, right after it was built in 1953. Legend has it that the couple decided to buy the home after scaling the fence to see it for themselves.

During their time living in the home, Taylor and Wilding threw huge parties there that were attended by their Hollywood friends. Taylor and Wilding had two sons together, Michael Howard (1953) and Christopher Edward (1955).

Wilding passed away in 1979 at the age of 66, and Taylor died in 2011 at the age of 79.

Taylor won two Oscars during her career for her work in “BUtterfield 8” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.” She is still widely considered to be one of the most talented actresses Hollywood has ever seen.

It’s amazing to get a look inside of the home of a member of Hollywood royalty! Whoever ends up purchasing this home will be very lucky indeed!
