Kensington Palace officials confirmed that Kate Middleton will be joining Meghan Markle to watch the Ladies’ Singles Final at Wimbledon this Saturday. The duo will watch the clash between Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber.
Prior to the match, the royal ladies will meet with former Wimbledon ladies champions as well as some of the Championships’ ball boys and ball girls to hear about their tournament experiences. This will be one of very few events that Kate will break from her maternity leave to attend.
Kate gave birth to Prince Louis just 12 weeks ago and she isn’t expected to attend official engagements until later this fall. When she gave birth to Princess Charlotte in May 2015, her maternity leave lasted six months, and she’s expected to take off the same amount of time with Prince Louis.

The mother of three will also be attending the men’s singles the day after her outing with Meghan. She will attend the next day’s event with her husband, Prince William.
This will be the first time Meghan has made an appearance in the royal box this year. She attended Wimbledon two years ago as a guest of Ralph Lauren.

This is the first event that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex will attend together as sister-in-laws.
Are you excited to see these two lovely ladies out and about together? Share this with your friends so they can look forward to this special event too.
