Shirley Clements is a now 63 year-old high school dance teacher who shows her students every day that age really is just a number!
Back in 2015, Shirley became a viral sensation when footage of her knocking a hip hop dance routine out of the park was posted online. At the time, Shirley was preparing to retire after a long career of teaching. Though it was a sad moment for her, Shirley also knew that it was time for her to move on.
Instead of wallowing in the sorrow of the moment, however, Shirley decided to put a positive spin on her situation by joining her students as they performed an epic hip hop dance routine for an annual competition that she had started nineteen years before! Though she was over forty years older than the students she was dancing with, Shirley ended up putting them all to shame with her amazing moves!

The video opens with the students making their way to the dance floor as “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars starts to play. After they get to their spots, Shirley runs out to join them, and what she does next leaves the audience speechless!

Shirley managed to hit every single move with just as much precision as her talented young students do! This should come as a surprise to no one, as it was Shirley who taught them everything they know!

At around the 1:20 mark, Shirley takes things a step further by doing something that most people half her age would not even be able to do: the 60 year-old does a handstand!

Shirley really closed her career out with a bang!
