We’ve seen the videos all over the internet of people doing a disappearing act behind a blanket or sheet and tricking their dog into thinking their owner has disappeared. The playful owner stands behind a sheet and then all of a sudden, they’re gone.

The dogs look confused and frustrated when they’re buddy is no longer where they once were. Most of the videos show the dogs getting up and searching for their owners and excitedly wagging their tails when they find them.

Dogs are known as being man’s best friend, so it really doesn’t come as much of a surprise when they become worried that their best friend disappears. But do you think that cats would have the same reaction to such a trick?

One man and cat owner Jordan E. decided to give the same trick a try on his cat. The cat is leisurely hanging out on his owners bed when he sees Jordan standing behind a sheet in the doorway. He watches as if he doesn’t care, but when Jordan disappears his attitude changes.

The cat immediately jumps off the bed and runs to the doorway looking for his owner. Jordan says that eventually the cat found him and all was well. Proof that cats definitely do care more than we might think they do.
