As adults we tend to forget about the important things in life. We let our responsibilities distract us from the important things like faith, friends, and family. For one woman, she got a reminder of what life really is all about thanks to her kids.
Sara is a hard worker and mother of three, but like many parents, when the end of the month rolls around, the money gets tight and she has to narrow things down to just the necessities. Her three young children don’t always understand.
One day when out and about with her kids, they asked for ice cream before heading home. She explained to them that she only had $20 to last the rest of the week and that they simply weren’t going to be able to get ice cream this time.

She says the kids cried and begged, but she had to stick to her guns. Finally the tears stopped and she heard little sighs from the back seat. Then she heard them doing something else she couldn’t believe. They began talking to God.
“God, we’d really love some ice cream. Is there any way you can give mommy some money so we can get some ice cream tonight? We know you can. Thank you,” she heard them say. She explained to them that wasn’t going to work. That God doesn’t just give you money to buy ice cream.
Her son Josh simply replied, “Nope. God said you’ll have plenty of money for ice cream and to give some to the natural disaster people.” Sara didn’t know what to say so she just gave up and drove the rest of the way home.

To her surprise when they got home there was an envelope in the mail. That envelope had a check for $123 for an overpayment of a student loan that Sara had paid off in 2007. The kids weren’t surprised, and neither was God, but Sara sure was.
She says the kids got their ice cream and the Red Cross got a donation. Sara got a reminder of what it is like to have the faith of a child. What an amazingly heartwarming story! Be sure to share this adorable tale of faith with your family and friends.
