These days, it often feels like members of the U.S. military do not get the respect that they deserve in this country. That’s why we’re so happy to see that Dr. Scholl’s has gone above and beyond to raise millions for U.S. troops!

During the entire month of July, for every pair of Dr. Scholl’s insoles of $10 or more sold in Walmart stores, Bayer HealthCare has agreed to donate $1 to Support Our Troops, Inc. This is a nationwide 501(c)(3) organization that meets the critical needs of America’s deployed troops worldwide.

“Widespread civilian support is critical to mission success and the morale and well-being of America’s troops and their families,” said Martin C. Boire, President of Support Our Troops. “On their behalf I want to thank Dr. Scholl’s for stepping up with a great way for Americans to show their support and deliver tangible support to their soldiers.”

One of the hardest parts of being deployed for soldiers is being separated from their families. The money that Bayer HealthCare is donating will help soldiers stay connected to their families via satellite! The money will also be used to provide food assistance for overseas military children and spouses and to help military youth.
